**2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata RF Grand Touring Six-Speed Manual, Retractable Hardtop and One Illinois Owner**

Two seats, three pedals and a perfectly reasonable excuse to take the long way home. This Machine Gray Metallic 2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata RF Grand Touring combines a six-speed manual transmission, rear-wheel drive and a power-retractable fastback roof with just 38,972 miles.

CARFAX reports one personal owner in Illinois, 12 service-history records and no reported accidents or damage. No title brands, odometer problems or open recalls are reported as of October 7, 2026. The ownership history traces back to its original sale at Anderson in Crystal Lake in April 2017.

Documented maintenance includes a brake-fluid change in 2022, tire replacement and brake service in 2023, differential-fluid service in August 2025 and a replacement battery in April 2026. On September 4, 2026, Buss Ford completed a pre-delivery inspection, changed the oil and filter, replaced the engine air filter, checked the brakes, fluids and tires, and rotated the tires.

The naturally aspirated 2.0-liter SKYACTIV-G four-cylinder produces **155 horsepower and 148 lb-ft of torque**, paired here with Mazdas short-throw six-speed manual. It is the kind of combination that makes an ordinary errand worth volunteering for.

The RFs power-retractable roof adds another reason to enjoy it. Roof up, you get the distinctive fastback profile. Roof open, you get the sunshine and open-air experience that make a Miata a Miata.

Grand Touring equipment includes:

* Heated leather-trimmed seats
* Nine-speaker Bose audio with headrest speakers
* Seven-inch MAZDA CONNECT touchscreen
* Bluetooth® connectivity
* Leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob
* LED headlights and taillights
* Adaptive Front-lighting System

This remains a pre-owned sports car, so normal age- and mileage-related wear should be expected. We welcome a close inspection and a proper test driveincluding a demonstration of the retractable roof.
